Orangutans are threatened by habitat destruction as people cut down trees for timber. Poaching also threatens these animals.

DON'T BLAME PALM OIL COMPANIES FOR DEFORESTATION
FOE (Friends of Earth) is misleading people by blaming the Palm Oil companies for deforestation (see - http://news.mongabay.com/2008/1007-foe_palmoil.html). They should know that wood logging community is a major contributor of deforestation. This community is also a major supplier of wood to the paper producing companies!

This is the tip of the iceberg, see this link for more information - http://www.wrm.org.uy/deforestation/indirect.html.

Help us save and protect these innocent apes from the losing their habitat to the wood logging and mining community.
